INFLOW HATHA CLASSES
Through the mindful practice of the physical
poses (asana) and directed inner focus, InFlowYoga brings together
the physical, mental, spiritual and energy aspects of Hatha Yoga.
InFlowYoga classes are small in number allowing for personal
attention and instruction. At InFlowYoga, the practice of Yoga
is done slowly and gently and, most important, mindfully.
Pippa’s physical focus of the poses is on opening the joints,
aligning the bones, lengthening muscles and elongating the spine.
Lengthening the muscles and opening the joints helps to create
space in the joints which enables them to stay healthy as we age.
Emphasis is given to strengthening the deep abdominal muscles which
support and protect the low back, lengthen the spine, give support
and lift to the belly and which create a sense of lightness in
the body when engaged.

Pippa uses guided meditations and visualizations
as well as her insight and sensitivity as an Energy Healer to develop
her students’ awareness
of energy.
Energy (prana/chi/life force) is the healing
medicine of Yoga and Life. When our energy body is in harmony and
balance, our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual selves come
into harmony and balance and we have a sense of well-being.
When practiced mindfully, Yoga increases the
quality and flow of energy throughout the body. Increasing the
flow of energy brings ease to the physical body and mind. Yoga
relieves the emotional, mental and physical symptoms of stress.
Yoga facilitates the release of stagnant energy which is held in
our tissues. Yoga revitalizes and centers us.
Pippa emphasizes the relevance, benefits and
application of Yoga to everyday life. As a student, this offers
invaluable, life affirming tools that help you stay in your integrity
and maintain balance in today’s demanding world. Through
the mindful practise of Yoga, you will develop a deeper connection
with your physical body. You will learn to be centered and grounded
and in your core.
You will consciously re-connect with your full and natural breath
and learn to use your breath to stay centered in your daily life.
InFlowYoga classes are ideal both for students
who are new to the practice of Yoga as well as experienced Yoga
students looking to deepen their connection to energy, spirit and
Yoga.

INFLOW RESTORATIVE YOGA
Restorative Yoga is a passive form of Hatha Yoga
that encourages gentle release of the physical body and opening
of the energy body through sustained, supported postures. Restorative
Yoga is about receiving.
It is about letting go and being.
Through deep and mindful breathing, mental focus
and stillness, the body’s parasympathetic nervous system,
body’s natural relaxation
response, is activated. Through this activation, mental
and physical tension drop away and the body’s natural healing
response is initiated.

Each Restorative Yoga class is made up of a series of passive
forward bends, back bends and inversions that gently help lengthen
the muscles and maintain flexibility of the spine. Using props
to support the body, poses are done either lying on the floor or
in a sitting position. This allows the muscles to release gently
into the pose and the body to drop into stillness.
Restorative Yoga is an excellent practice for individuals wanting
to bring a deeper sense of inner calm, balance and grounding to
their lives. Restorative Yoga is ideal for those who want the benefits
of Yoga but for whom an active practice of Yoga would be too strenuous
and for individuals who are recovering from an illness, are suffering
from exhaustion, etc.
